After the controversy and resulting “Council of Jerusalem” in Acts 15, Paul resumed his ministerial journeys, travelling from city to city preaching the gospel. In our passages today, we learn of his meeting a certain disciple named Timotheus, as well as the conversion of Lydia, seller of purple.
